ProX Carbon Single Speed/Fixie Wheelset With Novatec Flip Flop Hub

If you're a cyclist fan, you will be familiar with the difference between fixed grear wheels(single speed) and common freewheel bikes. A fixie wheel bike relies on you constantly pedaling, no gears to adjust. Thanks to this, you can pedal quickly without the risk of slipping gears, which increases your energy efficiency. Due to its tidy and vintage feature, it comes popular among streets, track, daily commuting etc. in the fashion industry.


Where to find the fixed gear wheels that won't break the bank? Here is the right place!
We use Novatec flip flop hub. There are threaded area to fit both fixed gear cogs and freewheel on two sides of rear hub. It means, the same wheel can be used for either fixed gear or single speed by just reversing two sides of rear hub. 

Ride fixed gear: Wheels will not move forward unless you keep pedalling.
Ride single speed: buy the freewheel and install it on the other side. By turning the rear wheel around, it's for single speed riding. Then the pedals can remain stationary while the bicycle is forward.
The Novatec A165/A166 hub is with front 20H/rear 24H and 17T fixed cog is included free. The hubs weigh 611g including 58g cog.
For riders who want to switch bike to a single speed style, freewheel option is recommended for starting. After practice and getting comfortable, it's a right time to try fixed gear option.

ProX provides two width option for our Novatec fixie wheels. That is, 28mm width carbon clincher rims, and 25mm width carbon rims clincher.
Both series rims are with high TG 3K grooved braking track, which provides more friction, shorten about 30% braking distance, faster heat elimination.
The 28mm width rim series (model PRV28) is with 28mm outer (21mm inner) width. For such wide road rims, the optimized aerodynamics tire size is 700*28C. If you plan to use 28C (or wider) tire, PRV28 rim series is recommended.
The 25mm width rim series (model PRV25) is with 25mm outer (18mm inner) width. For such wide road rims, the optimized aerodynamics tire size is 700*25C. If you plan to use 25C tire, PRV25 rim series is recommended.
For safety's sake, most fixed gear wheels have a front brake, and some have two brake and some even have no brakes at all. ProX provide the rim brake and no rim brake options to meet your needs.

Although these aren't the lightest wheels on the market, the decent quality of the components and the options available make these attractive for a casual or commuter cyclist.

Xiamen ProX Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. set up factory in Xiamen City (Fujian Province, China) in 2010.
