For disc brake carbon rims, it not only means simply removing the brake track, but also adjusting rim lay-up design to make it lighter so as to keep overall system weight competitive.
PD30 series (ProX Disc 30mm width) carbon rims are made from Premium Toray T700 carbon fiber, plus stable resin system, to make the rims lightweight and strong.
In addition, we optimize the lay-up design, eliminate excessive materials to save weight, and add extra materials around spoke hole area for reinforcement.
Thus, our carbon clincher rims are light weight, but still strong and stiff.
PD30 series disc brake carbon rims provide asymmetric design (2.8mm offset) and symmetric design (0mm offset) options. Both of them are with 30mm outer width.

Asymmetric design helps to equalize the spoke tension between drive side and non-drive side, which makes carbon wheelset stiffer and stabler.
ProX decal/logo is offered for free as showed in ProX decal page. The decal will be applied on the rim and do the matte or glossy finish according to customers' preference. You can choose rims with ProX decal, simply without decal or customized logo!

ERD*
Effective Rim Diameter (ERD) is the maximum distance that spokes need to bridge going from one end of the rim to another. How do we calculate the ERD of our rims? The corresponding equation and a drawing is as shown:
ERD=OD-(rim depth)*2+(rim thickness)*2
For example：
ERD of PAD30-30C rim=633mm-30mm*2+3.5mm*2=580mm
Most people prefer ERD including the length of the nipple cap. However, customers may use different nipples and components for building. Please add the height of the nipple cap(2.5mm~3mm generally) for your spoke calculation. If the height of the nipple cap is 3mm, then ERD of your PAD30-30C rim is 580mm+3mm*2=586mm

Asymmetric Design Asymmetric design road rims help to make wheelset with more even spoke tension between drive side and non-drive side.
Carbon road wheels built with asymmetric rims are of better stiffness and stability. The spoke tension on such wheelset will not get loose easily, lower frequency for re-truing is needed.

Aero U Shape Wide U Shape carbon road rims are more aerodynamic than traditional V Shape road bike carbon rims. It is also of better stiffness and strength.

Bead Lock There are small ridges on both side of rim channel called “bead lock”, which makes it easy for tubeless tire inflation. Together with hooked bead to well lock the tire, prevent it from blowing out.
