Carbon wheels are the ultimate upgrade when you’re looking to optimize the overall riding experience. This series carbon wheels provide a stiffer ride, improved acceleration and improved aerodynamics. 

HUBS:

• Ratchet 36T freehub system: The G71DB hub is made by well-known Taiwan hub manufacturer and with the reliable quality as usual. The weight of hub is only 320g/pair which is light weight. Hubs are designed with DT swiss style Ratchet 36T freehub system which improves power transfer efficiency. 
• 24H spoke holes: It is with straight pull spoke system and 24H with 1:1 spoke ratio for both front and rear wheel. With a 24-hole spoke count, the wheel achieves improved strength and durability, ideal for the demands of gravel riding.
• Conventional drilled-flange spoke system: The hub features drilled spoke holes on the flanges for standard spoke installation. Unlike hubs with captive or slot-in spoke systems, this G71DB uses a traditional design with drilled flanges, allowing spokes to be inserted directly through round spoke holes. It makes wheel building, servicing, and spoke replacement simple and widely compatible. Best for exploration, gravel riding and remote routes.
  
• Hub design: The hubs are designed with thread on end caps, which makes the connection between hub body and end caps much more stable. The tightening torque we recommend for the end caps is 8N.
  Hubs: thread-in and internal hex design, please use two hex wrenches(M12) when screwing/unscrewing the caps from hubs.

SPOKES:

• The unique full carbon spoke (only 2.9g/pc!) is customized which is 3.1mm wide aero bladed by default. Such carbon spokes (model CS1) is lighter but stronger than regular steel spokes. The carbon spokes look similar as regular spoke, except for the carbon fiber material T800 and ultra light weight. The weight of our CS1 carbon spoke plus specific aluminum nipple is only 3.2g, which is about 1.8g lighter than well-known Sapim CX-Ray spoke with nipple. The max spoke tension of the carbon spoke is 360kgf according to our in-lab test, which is much higher than test standard (typically 300kgf).

RIMS:

Please note: Due to the special wheel building tools needed for carbon spoke wheel building, as well as bigger nipple size (around 7mm diameter head, which is larger than Presta valve hole diameter 6.5mm), nipple can not be put into the rim through valve hole. It means No-External-Hole rim can not be built with carbon spokes (which comes with bigger nipple head). Thus, tubeless rim tape is a must if you intend to use tubeless tires. If you prefer No-External-Hole wheels, please choose our other carbon wheels (regular steel spokes). 

Rim Height Options: 40mm vs. 45mm vs. 50mm
Choosing the right rim height depends on riding style and terrain:
40mm: Ideal for technical, unpredictable terrain. The lower profile prioritizes agility, weight savings, and crosswind stability. Perfect for riders tackling steep climbs or twisty singletrack.
45mm: A versatile middle ground. Balances aerodynamic gains compared to 40mm rim , and with moderate weight. It suits riders mixing paved gravel terrain.
50mm: Maximizes aerodynamic efficiency for fast-paced gravel races or rolling terrain. Slightly heavier on weight but offers noticeable speed retention on smoother surfaces.
