ProX C67DB Disc Brake Carbon Road Wheels - Unique Butterfly Weave

For the butterfly weave rim, the carbon fiber is overlapped which looks like a butterfly, also named braided/UD X weave/butterfly knot/butterfly effect. The butterfly pattern evenly over the spokes holes which makes a contribution to the strength of the rim wall thickness.
BRD28 series (ProX Butterfly Weave Road Disc 28mm width) carbon rims are made from premium Toray T800+T1000 carbon fiber, not only just overlay them, but involving appropriate proportion and elaborate lay-up etc., which is the basis for light weight. The cost of materials is also higher than the regular T700. The rim weight is around 10g less compared to our other UD weave rims. 
Currently butterfly weave is limited to this rim series only. Both matte and glossy finish are available.

The C67DB hub is made by well-known Taiwan hub manufacturer and with the reliable quality as usual. It is with straight pull spoke system and 2:1 spoke ratio (14:7) for both front and rear wheel. 2:1 spoke ratio provides better strength balance between non-drive side and drive side. Hubs are with high flanges for better lateral stiffness and handling performance. The weight of hub is only 347g~357g/pair which is light weight. Hubs are designed with DT swiss style Ratchet 36T freehub system which improves power transfer efficiency, combining with ceramic bearings, the rolling resistance is minimized. Such hubs help you to shorten acceleration time and save energy. 

The unique full carbon spoke (only 2.9g/pc!) is customized which is 3.1mm wide aero bladed by default. Such carbon spokes (model CS1) is lighter but stronger than regular steel spokes. The carbon spokes look similar as regular spoke, except for the carbon fiber material and ultra light weight. The weight of our CS1 carbon spoke plus specific aluminum nipple is only 3.2g, which is about 1.8g lighter than well-known Sapim CX-Ray spoke with nipple. C67DB wheels is allowed to update to with wider carbon spokes(5.5mm width) as shown. From wider carbon spoke, it gets more aerodynamic. The wheels weight with 5.5mm width carbon spokes is around 10g added compared wheels with 3.1mm spokes. More than anything, the carbon spoke provides both higher stiffness and better fatigue life compared to the traditional steel spokes. The max spoke tension of the carbon spoke is 528kgf according to our in-lab test, which is much higher than regular steel spokes (typically under 400kgf).

The hubs are designed with thread on end caps, which makes the connection between hub body and end caps much more stable. The tightening torque we recommend for the end caps is 8N.
Front Hub: thread-in and Internal hex design, please use two hex wrenches(M12) when screwing/unscrewing the caps from front hub.
Rear Hub: thread-in, but not Internal hex design.

BRD28 series carbon rims are with 28mm outer (21mm inner) width, with depth 33/38/45/55mm optional. No matter you need shallow carbon rims for climbing or deep carbon rims for flat road riding, there is always one for you.
ProX decal/logo is offered for free as showed in ProX decal page. The decal will be applied on the rim and do the matte or glossy finish according to customers' preference. You can choose either with such ProX decal or simply without decal. The rims can be made with your customized logo as well. So it will become your own brand wheels!

Please note: Due to the special wheel building tools needed for carbon spoke wheel building, as well as bigger nipple size (around 7mm diameter head, which is larger than Presta valve hole diameter 6.5mm), nipple can not be put into the rim through valve hole. It means No-External-Hole rim can not be built with carbon spokes (which comes with bigger nipple head). Thus, tubeless rim tape is a must if you intend to use tubeless tires. If you prefer No-External-Hole wheels, please choose our other carbon wheels (regular steel spokes).
