DESCRIPTION

ProX R65 Rim Brake Carbon Road Wheels - Ultra Light Carbon Spokes Wheels With Ratchet 54T

Since launching our wheels with carbon spokes for disc brake, we've also received lots of inquires about rim brake version. Now we add the new R65 hub to enrich this series and provide more options to meet the growing demand. 
The R65 hub is made by well-known Taiwan hub manufacturer and with the reliable quality as usual. It is still with straight pull spoke system as other pupular hubs in the market. The front hub is the regular 18 holes (1:1) and 2:1 spoke ratio (14:7) for rear. For the 2:1 spoke ratio, it provides better strength balance between non-drive side and drive side. The weight of R65 hub is only 280g/pair which is ultra light. As comparison, the weight of high end DT Swiss 180s hub is around 270g/pair. Hubs are designed with DT Swiss style Ratchet system freehub 54T which improves power transfer efficiency, combining with ceramic bearings, the rolling resistance is minimized. Such hubs help you to shorten acceleration time and save energy. 

ProX R65 rim brake carbon wheels with carbon spokes
The unique full carbon spoke (only 2.9g/pc!) is customized which is 3.1mm wide aero bladed. Such carbon spokes (model CS1) is lighter but stronger than regular steel spokes. The carbon spokes look similar as regular spoke, except for the carbon fiber material and ultra light weight. The weight of our CS1 carbon spoke plus specific aluminum nipple is only 3.2g, which is about 1.8g lighter than well-known Sapim CX-Ray spoke with nipple. More than anything, the carbon spoke provides both higher stiffness and better fatigue life compared to the traditional steel spokes. The max spoke tension of the carbon spoke is 528kgf according to our in-lab test, which is much higher than regular steel spokes (typically under 400kgf).
The carbon rims are equipped with high TG resin brake surface (with small grooves on the surface). Such high TG 3K grooved brake surface is able to bear higher temperature while braking, and the heat can be eliminated sooner, which makes our carbon rims more durable. 
ProX R65 rim brake hubs designed for carbon spokes
The hubs can be made with your customized logo (either etch logo or make stickers). So it will become your own brand hubs!
ProX decal/logo is offered for free as showed in ProX decal page. The decal will be applied on the rim and do the matte or glossy finish according to customers' preference. You can choose either with such ProX decal or simply without decal (UD black matte or UD black glossy finish).

ProX provides two width option for our R65 rim brake carbon road bike wheels. That is, 28mm width carbon clincher rims, and 25mm width carbon rims clincher.

Both series rims are with high TG 3K grooved braking track, which provides more friction, shorten about 30% braking distance, faster heat elimination.

The 28mm width rim series (model PRV28) is with 28mm outer (21mm inner) width.

For such wide road rims, the optimized aerodynamics tire size is 700*28C. If you plan to use 28C (or wider) tire, PRV28 rim series is recommended.

The 25mm width rim series (model PRV25) is with 25mm outer (18mm inner) width.

For such wide road rims, the optimized aerodynamics tire size is 700*25C. If you plan to use 25C tire, PRV25 rim series is recommended.

Xiamen ProX Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. set up factory in Xiamen City (Fujian Province, China) in 2010. At the beginning, we manufactured all kinds of customized carbon fiber products according to customers’ demand, including carbon bike rims, carbon tubes, carbon drone body shell, etc. Since 2012, we decided to focus on main products - carbon bike rims. In 2012, we built full range carbon road rims with 20.5mm width. In 2014, we built full range carbon road rims with 23mm width. In 2015, we built full range carbon road rims with 25mm width. In 2018, we introduced product line for MTB carbon rims (both symmetric and asymmetric design). During the same year, we set up wheel building workshop, and started to build carbon wheelset in-house. In 2019, we added 28mm width carbon road rims into our product line (both rim brake and disc brake). Besides, we created gravel carbon rims. During the same year (2019), LightCarbon (China leading carbon frame manufacturer) visited us. After several trial order for testing, they were very satisfied with our quality. Eventually, LightCarbon invested our facotry, and we build close business relationship. ProX supply carbon rims and carbon wheelset to LightCarbon, and LightCarbon supply carbon frameset and components to ProX. Since then, both ProX and LightCarbon are able to supply carbon rims, carbon wheels and carbon frameset, with same factory price. So it is convenient for customers to do one-stop purchasing.
